Certification Process
If none of the existing certified Tablets suit your needs, you can request MENU to certify a new Tablet model for you. Please make sure that any new Tablet model meets MENU’s Minimum Tablet Requirements, as listed below.
Reach out to your Account Manager with the manufacturer & model information for your Tablet. MENU’s QA Team will test the Tablet app and MDM solution on the Tablet to make sure that it can be supported in a production environment.
If the certification is successful, the Tablet is added to the Certified Tablets list and you can proceed with deploying the Tablet in production. If the certification is not successful, we will provide an explanation and any possible remediation steps.
To streamline support, MENU strongly recommends not to use more than one Tablet model in a given customer environment.
Minimum Tablet Requirements
- Android OS 5.1 or higher
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB Storage
- 7” Display Size
Tablet Size vs. Resolution
Please note: The tablet size does not matter when it comes to visibility of the content on your app.
When you take a look at the screenshots below, they are from the same tablet. What is important is the resolution and display settings on your device. If your tablet only has 720p resolution, it will show less details.
However, if you are using an Android tablet, you can adjust font and screen size, so you are free to manipulate these settings to increase/decrease the visibility and readability of the app content and decide how many orders at once you want to see.
The attached screenshots are from the same tablet. so the actual physical size does not matter. It's the resolution and display setting of the tablet itself. so if a tablet only has 720p it is limited to showing smaller details. and in android, you can even adjust your font size and screen size. which means you can change the size of the whole app and therefore increase the readability or how many orders you can see:
