Order Direct is an External Order Channel and as such needs to be activated in the CMS and added to your Venue in order to be used.
To activate Order Direct:
- Select the Venue you want to assign Order Direct to
- Select External Channels tab
- Click Add External Channel
- Add External Channel form appears
Type: External Channel Types previously created
- Select Order Direct from dropdown
RestaurantId: Find Restaurant ID here
- Enter restaurant address and copy&paste ID in RestaurantId field
Assign menu: Venue's Menu created in CMS to assign to this External Channel (e.g. Default)
- Click SUBMIT
This action triggers a job in Hospitality Digital (the company that manages Order Direct). It takes approximately 48h for the External Order Channel: Order Direct to be activated.
NOTE: Google takes approximately 2 days to activate Order Direct. To avoid going live without knowing it, use the Disable-Function to disable Order Direct until you see it under your GMB (Google My Business) Account activated.

- Check in Postman if Venue was set up correctly
- Let Hospitality Digital (HD) know that a new Store has been added and send them the Google Place ID
(e.g. ChIJxW1cNVxWskcRQUMAchCDjUQ)
If failure message appears:
Check on a Brand level if the External Channel counter is set.
- Search for Brand (e.g Dean&David)
- Click Brand at the top bar
- Click External Channels
- Select Order Direct
- Increase the counter or set Venues as unlimited
