Verifone Payment Processor Configuration - USB
-
Connect the terminal to the Internet with an ethernet cable from your router to the Verifone terminal using the ETH port (not the RS232 port!)
-
Connect the terminal to the Kiosk through Serial to Ethernet Converter cable (RS-232 port ↔︎ USB port)
One side of the converter cable connects to the RS-232 port on the Verifone P400 connector and the another side in the standard USB port on the Kiosk. - Connect Power to the adapter
-
Open the device manager on Windows and check which port is assigned to the Verifone terminal
Look for “Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port“, a concrete port is defined in braces e.g. COM4 like on screenshot.
This information is important for the MENU Kiosk Service configuration. -
On the terminal go to "Menu\Configuracion\Param. PSU\Seleccionar Puerto" and select one of available ports (must be a different COM port than the COM port from the device manager!)
-
Restart the terminal for changes to take effect. To restart the terminal follow next steps:
-
Click on the 'OK' button on “Cambio aplicado“ confirmation screen
-
Press the button “Cancelar” (X button) on terminal
-
“Reinicio“ dialog will be displayed. After that the terminal will be restarted
