Dine-In Order Type allows customers to place their orders from the table at the Venue by using the Mobile App. Dine-In Order Type needs to be configured in the CMS in order to be available to the customers.
This workflow is a step-by-step instruction on how to set up a Dine-In Full Service order for Venues with the POS integration.
First step is to enable the Dine-In Order Type in the CMS.
To do so:
- Click on Venue at the top navigation bar
- Select Order Types tab in the side bar
- Enable Dine-In (FS)
Now that the Order Type has been enabled, you need to create a Full Service Area type.
To do so:
- Click Areas at the top navigation bar
- Click ADD AREA in the sidebar
- Add Area form appears
Name: Name of the Area
Area Type: Select Full Service from the dropdown
Location Type: Depends on the way POS integration connected to the Venue is configured; it can be Table, Room, Seat; customer needs to enter the location type number prior to placing the order in the Mobile App.
Allowed Order Types: Check the box next to the Order Type you would like to be allowed in this Area: Dine-in (FS) - explained above and Bill Settling - supports various ways in which the customer can pay for the meal
Assigned menu: Select, from a dropdown, the menu you would like to be available for the customers
Revenue Center ID: Refers to the dine-in space; the way it is represented in the CMS depends on the different POS systems; i.e. a-three-floor building (Venue) with a restaurant that has a Dine-In Area on the second floor.
- Enter all the necessary data
- Click SUBMIT
After you click SUBMIT, new Tables section appears.
- Click ADD TABLE to map the table from the Dine-In Area to the table in the POS system
By doing so, after the customer places the order, the staff will be able to locate the customer's table in the POS system.
- After you click ADD TABLE, new Tables modal appears
- Enter table number (e.g. 5)
Please note: When entering table numbers, ensure that it doesn't start with 0. For example, if your table number is ‘001’, then please enter '1' so that our mobile apps read it correctly. - Select the corresponding POS ID from the drop down (e.g. #5(5))
- Click SUBMIT
Optionally, you can check Add Another box in the modal to automatically add another one after you click SUBMIT.
You can also modify the tables you have previously made.
To do so:
- Click on
next to the tables
- Select one of the options: Edit, Disable, Delete
- Edit: Modify table and POS ID numbers
- Disable: Disable table
- Delete: Delete table
- Click SUBMIT to complete the action
You've successfully configured Dine-In Full Service Order Type with POS integration.
As a result, the customer can place the Dine-In order at the Venue by using the Mobile App.
