• MENU Combo Cluster Description: In order to enable a specific description for a combo cluster that may unify multiple combos under that combo cluster, the menu now supports combo cluster descriptions. In order to show combo cluster description in the menu, a brand needs to specify it under combo cluster and it will be shown to customers on Web App and Mobile App

• MENU Menu Layout 2 - Single Page Layout Subcategories Shortcuts: To optimize customer browsing through the menu, the single page layout will have a fixed subcategories section at the top of the screen. Customers can tap on the subcategory and the menu will scroll to the selected subcategory

Ordering

• ORDERING Guest Checkout Optimisation: Faster and improved checkout experience for guest customers on the Web App, by:

  • optimizing Registration / Sign-in call to action buttons in the checkout journey

  • removing phone number as a mandatory field for dine in table service customers

  • allowing restaurant brands to configure last name as an optional field in the CMS brand level settings for dine in and takeaway orders, to further reduce time to order

  • caching customer details in case they go back to the menu to make changes to their order

  • pre-selecting country code for phone number based on venue location

Discounts & Loyalty

• Cancel cash orders from tablet: Crew members can cancel any cash orders on the same day from the tablet, active or past orders. This allows restaurant operators to cancel any problematic orders before the points are awarded to the customer

• Remove “free” from order level coupons and promotions: To eliminate confusion regarding whether an order is free or not, customers will no longer see “Free” when selecting an order level coupon or promotion

• Show an error message when wrong promo code is entered: To reduce confusion for users, they are now presented with an error message when they have entered a wrong code

Payments

• Amex and Maestro were added as additional payment methods for payment processor Computop

• Introduced a check for duplicate entries when adding Swiss Lunch Checks

• Added support for guest users to the Transbank payment integration in Chile

• For Cybersource integration, the store information (id and name) is now sent to the payment processor in field MDD16

• For Transbank integration, a bug was fixed that removed the phone number when a newly registered user added a card from the checkout

• For Computop integration on web, a bug was fixed that triggered an Unexpected exception when a guest or registered user selected a pament method

• For Paystack integration on Android, a bug was fixed that led to a situation where the credit card option was not displayed

• For Paystack on Android, the application is now showing a better error message when trying to register a duplicate card

• A small change was needed on the web application to adapt the payment-related logic for the countryCode dropdown in the new guest flow

• An issue with newly registered users was fixed, that prevented the users phone number. Country code dropdown list is now scrollable and user is able to insert his data

• When a credit card field was empty, it showed the wrong credit card string. The input field validation was corrected accordingly

• No Internet notification: The web App can now detect when there is no connection to the internet. In that case ‘No Internet’ banner will appear and the customer won’t be able to interact with Web App until it gets reconnected to the Internet
