Intro
Here's how to configure and enable Auto-Assignment, in detail.
What is it?
The Auto-Assignment algorithm will group Orders with the closest expected Delivery time and closest location to be delivered by the same Driver in a Route. The algorithm will take into consideration several factors, including:
- Driver's bag capacity
- Foodspot Drivers
- Vehicle type
The inactive (not started) Routes will be recalculated every time the new Order comes in or when Driver status changes, to make sure all the changes are taken into account.
-
For DSP delivery the orders will be automatically sent to the DSP
-
For Mixed mode, the Own Delivery will be preferred. If no Own Delivery drivers are available, DSP delivery will be used
How do I do it?
The User has to go to Delivery Hubs under Delivery menu. Then, after selecting a particular Hub, they'll have to go to Settings. Under General Settings, they will see the configuration of Auto-Assignment. They can setup Delivery Resources, and once ready, toggle the Enable orders Auto-Assignment flag:
The field Auto-Assignment Settings allows them to configure additional options:
- Delivery fleet selection
- DSP selection
- Minimum amount of Orders per Driver
