Discount Conditions are used by restaurant Brands to define what needs to be fulfilled for a Discount to apply (under which circumstances the Discount will be applied). In that way, Brands can target the Customers in a better way with better defined offers.
Discount Conditions are available for all Discount Types: Coupons, Promotions and Loyalty Rewards. Also, they can be combined to create more complex requirements (e.g. Free dessert for Delivery Orders above 20€).
Older Mobile app versions that did not yet support Discount Conditions, won't have Discount Conditions available.
Conditions
Specific Venues
Discount Condition for specific Venues allows Brand to further restrict availability of one Discount, not only setting up general Venue availability by Discount Type.
If Show only in ordering flow is enabled, the Discount is only displayed in the context of the Venue (in the ordering flow).
e.g. Free juice for our Berlin store opening
Specific Order Types
Specific Order Types Discount Condition allows Brands to set Discounts to be available only for specific Order Types.
e.g. 5% off all Delivery Orders
Spend certain amount
Spend certain amount filter allows Brands to set Discounts so that they are available if the Customer's Order reaches certain amount.
The amount set in the Condition is compared with Order subtotal where the Discount is already applied. Discount amount applies to inclusive and exclusive tax.
e.g. 5% off for Orders above 35€
Important to note:
- Delivery fees are not taken into account with this Condition
- For exclusive Tax, this Condition is evaluated prior to adding the Tax
Order count
The Order count Discount Condition allows brands to restrict Discounts to only be available for users that have a certain order count.
Currently, only order count = 0 is available. In the future, order count conditions can be defined as >, <, =, or between a certain value.
For users that do not and will never meet an order count condition (e.g. user has placed 5 orders and the condition is for order count = 0), Discounts are hidden.
For users that do not currently meet the order count condition but can in the future (e.g. user has placed 0 orders and the condition is for order count > 0), Discounts are displayed as locked.
Examples:
-
“30% off your first order”
