Menu Previews - Brand level

Menu Previews allow for brands to see all their menu item and nested items within a specific menu. In the future the feature will allow you to drag and drop, reorder and edit products.

This guide walks you through the behavior and interactions of the Menu Page, including how menus, categories, products, and search work.

Page Overview

• No Menus Yet? You’ll see a friendly message letting you know there are no menus set up yet.

• Menus Available? The first menu (based on its order) will be shown automatically.

Switching Between Menus

At the top of the page, you’ll find a menu selector:

• It displays the menu name and, if available, the internal name.
• Click the dropdown arrow to view other menus.
• You’ll see up to 6 menus at a time—scroll to view more if needed.

Menu Details

Once a menu is selected, you’ll see:

• Internal Channels and their order types (if available)
• External Channels and their order types (if available)
• Menu Status and Serving Time

If any of these details aren’t set up, they’ll simply be hidden.
If no order types are defined, you’ll see a placeholder: (-)

Editing a Menu

• Click the Edit Menu button to make changes to the selected menu.
• This opens the menu in edit mode, where you can update its details.

Categories & Products

Categories

• If no categories are added yet, you’ll see a message letting you know.
• Each category shows:
  • Its name
  • Number of products
  • Internal name (if available)
• Hovering over a category name underlines it.
• Clicking a category opens it in edit mode.

Products

• Products within a category are displayed with:
  • Image
  • Name
  • Internal name (if available)
• Hovering over a product highlights it and shows a disclosure arrow.
• Clicking a product opens the product drawer.
  • The drawer stays open—you can click other products to update the content without closing it.
• Hovering over a product name underlines it.
• Clicking the name opens the product in edit mode.

Inside the Product Drawer

• The drawer header is fixed and shows:
  • Product name
  • An Edit button
• The rest of the drawer is scrollable.
• If no product groups are added, you’ll see a message indicating that.
• Product groups behave just like in the “Contains product groups” tab:
  • Expandable
  • Clickable
  • Fully interactive

Searching for Products or Categories

You can search by:

• Product name
• Category name
• Internal name
• ID

If nothing matches your search, you’ll see a friendly message:
“We couldn’t find anything matching your search.”

Search results include:

• Products with their categories
• Categories with all their products (if searched directly)
