Switching Order Types and Using the Store Finder

Overview

This update enhances the ordering experience by enabling seamless switching between order types, improving store selection logic, and upgrading the Store Finder with better accessibility, filtering, and view options for both desktop and mobile users.

Scope & Features

• Switch between Pickup, Delivery, and Catering directly from the home screen.

• Choose a sub-order type (e.g., curbside, in-store) after selecting a store for Pickup.

• Retain the selected store for the entire active session.

• Toggle between Map View and List View in the Store Finder (mobile).

• Apply and clear filters for order type and proximity in Store Finder.

• Access Store Finder from multiple points within the app.

• All new features are accessibility compliant and optimized for performance on mobile and desktop.

Switch Between All Order Types

What You Can Do

• Switch between Pickup, Delivery, and Catering directly on the home screen.

• The interface updates automatically to show only stores that support the chosen order type.

• Your selected order type remains active until you change it.

Example: If you select Delivery, only delivery-eligible stores are displayed in the Store Finder.

Sub-Order Type Selection (Pickup Orders)

What You Can Do

• After choosing Pickup and selecting a store, you’ll see additional sub-order type options (e.g., Curbside, In-Store Pickup).

• Only sub-order types supported by that store will be shown.

• Your chosen sub-order type is saved for your current session.

Example: If a store supports both Curbside and In-Store, you’ll be able to choose between them.

What You Can Do

• Once you select a store, it stays selected for your active session.

• This store will appear automatically in:

  • Menu pages

  • Checkout

  • Other relevant sections of the app

• You can change your store at any time.

• Registered guests will see previously used addresses.

Store Finder on Mobile, Toggle Between Views

What You Can Do

• On mobile, you can switch between Map View and List View when browsing stores.

• Both views display the same store information.

• Your chosen view will stay active during your session.

Filtering Options in Store Finder

What You Can Do

• Filter stores by:

  • Order Type (depending on what is enabled on Brand) – Pickup, Delivery, Catering

  • Proximity – nearest stores first

• Filters update results in real time in both list and map views.

• You can clear or change filters at any time.

Accessing the Store Finder

You can open the Store Finder from multiple locations:

• Home screen – via Pickup, Delivery, or Catering buttons

• Restaurant menu page – top navigation (desktop and mobile)

• Rewards page – floating button (mobile only)

Behavior:

• Store Finder opens as a modal over the current page.

• Closing the modal returns you to where you were.
