Customers can order at Curbside-enabled restaurants to have their order delivered to their vehicle in the parking lot once they arrive. They provide Vehicle details like the Brand & Model, color & last 3 digits of the license plate (optional) to enable you to locate the customer's vehicle.
This article details the flow of a Curbside order placed through the Mobile application.
1. Customer adds their Vehicle details to the app
The customer adds their Vehicle details to the app when placing their Curbside order. Vehicle details are saved for the customer to enable faster re-ordering.
2. Customer places their Curbside order
The customer places their Curbside order.
3. Order is sent to your restaurant & shown on the Tablet
The order is sent to your restaurant based on the Pickup Time selected by the customer and the Minimum Preparation Time set up for your restaurant in the CMS. For example, if the customer orders for 12:00 and your Minimum Preparation Time is 10 minutes, the order will be sent to your restaurant at 11:50.
If your restaurant has a POS integration, the order will be sent to your POS and printed on your kitchen printers and/or displayed on the KDS.
If your restaurant has a Printer integration, the order will be printed on your printers.
The order transitions from ON HOLD to ACTIVE on your Tablet.
4. Customer arrives & taps on "I'm here" in the app
The customer arrives on your restaurant's parking lot and taps on "I'm here" in the app.
A push notification is sent to the customer 5 minutes before the selected Pickup Time to remind them to tap on "I'm here" when they arrive.
5. You are notified of the customer's arrival via the Tablet
When the customer arrives, a notification (incl. sound) is shown on the Tablet and the order is shown as ARRIVED in the Order list.
6. Mark the order as Ready on the Tablet
Before delivering the order to the customer, mark the order as Ready on the Tablet by tapping on the bell icon. The customer will receive a push notification letting them know that you'll be right out with the order.
7. Deliver order to the customer
Deliver the order to the customer on the parking lot. Vehicle details are sent to your POS & Printer, as well as shown on the Tablet.
