Average Check Size is an important metric that helps you have a better insight into your selling points, employees' working efficiency and success of your offerings and services.
Average Check Size is calculated as a Total Sales Amount divided by Number of Orders.
For more information on Total Sales and Number of Orders statistics, please check out How to view Total Sales by Channel? How to view Total Sales by Order Type? How to view Number of Orders by Channel? Number of Orders by Order Type? articles.
The data processed for Average Check Size is displayed in form of line and pie charts.
As it can be seen in the screenshot above, the graph presents the statistics for all three MENU ordering Channels:
- External Channels
NOTE: If Brand has no Channels assigned, Average Check Size will not be displayed.
Line chart visually presents Average Check Size per Channel (Mobile, Web, Kiosk and External Channel) and their sum on a daily basis.
- Vertical axis: Average Check Size in local currency
- Horizontal axis: Days set in Timeframe filter
The crossing between the axis which indicates day and a chart line is marked with a point. If you hover over point in one of the lines which represent Channel (Mobile, Web, Kiosk and External Channel) or Total, you get details about Average Check Size amount on that specific day.
Details popup (screenshot above) contains corresponding dates from Timeframe and Compare to and Time Unit filters, Average Check Size per each Channel and Average Check Size for all three Channels per that day. The popup also contains the Sales trend (rising or falling) comparing one Sales amount date (defined in Timeframe filter) with the corresponding one (defined in Compare to filter), displayed per Time Unit (defined in Time Unit filter).
For more information on how these filters interact, please check out How to use Brand Performance Statistics? article and Timeframe and Compare to filter interaction table.
Pie chart visually presents Average Check Size per Channel (Mobile, Web, Kiosk and External Channel) and Average Check Size sum of all Channels for period defined in Timeframe filter.
The data is presented in numbers (amount of money in local currency) and trend (rising/falling in percentages).
