What is it?
Foodspot Subsidies is a feature that lets restaurants give companies an option to offer meal subsidies (grants provided by the local government) to their employees by using the Foodspot functionality. Example: lets say Mark's Cafe in Germany enables Foodspot Subsidies (financed by the government) for the employees of Berlin Robotics.
Disclaimer: these names were invented :)
What is it for?
We want businesses to be able to give their Users an incentive to use Foodspot. A tasty meal that is fully or partially financed by the government is a nice way to do it.
Using such incentive will help you get an increased flow in Orders via Foodspot.
How does it work?
- The Brand Manager has to log into CMS
- Next, they have to select a Store
- Then, go to Areas
-
Then, they have to go to Foodspot and configure the Amount Off Subsidy field. This is the total amount that will be taken off of the Order
-
If required, an order minimum field can be populated. This amount is how much a user has to spend, after applying any configured Restaurant Discount before the subsidy will apply
- Then, under the POS Integration Settings, the Brand Manager has to add a Subsidy Tender Type
-
If the Amount Off Subsidy field has been populated, this subsidy will automatically appear in the User's cart once they’ve selected the Foodspot Order Type
Please note: Users will not be able to edit or remove the subsidy.
The User will see the Order spend condition for the Subsidy equal to the Subsidy Order Minimum divided by (1 - store discount). This is because the Subsidy Order Minimum is calculated after the discount is applied.
For example: if the store has a 10% discount and there is a $10 subsidy order minimum, the user must spend $10 / (1-10%) = $11.11 before the subsidy will apply -
After placing the Order, subsidy amounts will be kept in Order Statistics as a separate column in the list view, a line item in the detail view, and as an Exportable Orders Report
