Delivery Zone defines the geographical area to which your Store delivers. When a Customer specifies their Delivery Address to place an Order, the system compares the Delivery Address to all defined Delivery Zones to determine which Store delivers to the Customer.

Please note: a minimal order amount ( which is optional) is recommended to be set. It's a Minimum Order Total (excluding the Delivery Fee) that needs to be met to be able to place a Delivery Order. If the Minimal Order Amount is not reached, the difference is charged as a Minimum Surcharge.
How to activate, deactivate, or delete a Delivery Area?

- Select your Store from the Store List in the top navigation bar
- Select Configurations, then go to Order Types
- Select Manage on the Delivery Order Type page
- Select 3 dots next to the delivery area you want to activate, deactivate or delete

Overlapping Delivery Zones
If you have one Delivery Zone and want to create another that overlaps with the existing one, the area of the newly created zone will be subtracted from the existing Delivery Zone (e.g. Zone 1, Zone 2 and newly created Zone 3).
Export Delivery Zone as .KML file
.KML file is used for expressing geographic annotation and visualization within two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional Earth browsers.
PAR Ordering Users export KML file for External Channels (e.g. Uber Eats) and download their Delivery Areas and Minimum Order Amounts.
To export Delivery Zone as .KML file:
- Select your Store from the Store List in the top navigation bar
- Select Configurations, then Order Types
- Select Manage on the Delivery Order Type
- Select 3 dots next to the Add area
- Click on Export.KML button
Please note: You can open this file in Google Earth or any other program that supports .KML files.
Import Delivery Zone as .KML file
Restaurants often create polygons for Delivery using Google's My maps feature and later use the exported .KML file to import polygons to different platforms. That's why PAR Ordering enables this in the CMS.
After importing the external map, the feature has the same behavior as when the user adds a polygon area to its map.
This way the user is able to import created Delivery Zones from the Google maps and production Delivery Zones, as well.
To import Delivery Zone as .KML file:
- Select your Store from the Store List in the top navigation bar
- Select Configurations, then Order Types
- Select Manage on the Delivery Order Type
- Select 3 dots next to the Add area
-
Click on Import.KML button
- The imported zones will be visible on the Delivery map
Please note: if the imported zones overlap with the already existing ones, they will be merged on the map.
