PAR Ordering POS Service Offline
If the Store has configured the Monitoring Feature in the CMS, the email recipient will receive the following monitoring email:
POS Windows Service Offline in <Store-Name>
Your POS Windows Service has gone offline and can no longer accept new orders. We have temporarily deactivated your Venue. As soon as the POS Windows Service is back online, you’ll receive an e-mail and your Venue will automatically be activated again. Here are a couple of quick fixes:
1. Verify internet connection on the server where the MenuService is installed
Open an internet browser and try opening any website. If the server is not connected to the internet, contact your network administrator or internet service provider
2. Check if the MENU Windows Service is running
- Right-click on the Windows icon in the lower left corner and select Run.
- Type services.msc in this field and press OK.
- Check if MenuService status is running or empty
- If empty - right click on MenuService and press Start
- If running - right click on MenuService and press Restart
Select Start or Restart, whichever is available
- Check if MenuService status is running or empty
PAR Ordering direct API POS Integration (No MENU Windows Service)
If you do not have a MENU Windows Service installed on your POS, but have your own Service taking care of the communication to our API, please restart your Service as usual.
Make sure the Service is running and has proper connection.
If this was successful you will receive an email confirming your POS is back Online.
If you do not receive this email or the store is still offline, please contact our helpful support ninjas by either submitting a request on the top right of this page or opening a ticket through one of our contact forms.
Please always try to provide as much information as possible when opening a ticket with our PAR Ordering Support team.
